Scammers are taking advantage of the coronavirus situation.
Unfortunately there are always people who are out there wanting to make money and take advantage of others. So during this period please be careful of scammers.

Purchase email scams
These are emails that offer desirable goods that you will never receive. Be careful when buying online and only buy goods from reputable companies.
Phishing emails
These are emails trying to get you to divulge sensitive personal or financial information. Don’t open any attachments from senders that you don’t know.
If in doubt, delete.
Smishing
Receiving texts that appear to come from UK government / NHS . If you doubt call them, please don’t click the links.
Vishing
Unsolicited telephone calls asking for you to confirm sensitive personal. Banks, utilities etc. will never ask for security information, so don’t give out any personal details. If in doubt hang up and call the company direct.
Please be extra vigilant during these times.
If you receive any calls, text or emails and you are not sure then hang up, delete the message and call the company direct.
