Data Bubble News Updates

Data Bubble “On Tour” – The First Leg

We kicked off our recent world tour at Wolverhampton Racecourse when we joined 200 or so other exhibitors. This was its second year and attracted well over 1,000 business owners, managers, directors and people alike.

Being a networking show, there were lots of opportunities to network, besides actually exhibiting. Steve made his presence known as early as 8 am when he attended a 4Networking breakfast meeting that was fully booked with around 40 delegates. As well as showcasing Data Bubble to the room, this also allowed him to meet others on a more personal 1-2-1 basis and, of course, promote our stand.

As you might expect, we packed our stand full of goodies – sweets, notebooks, pens etc – and they went down a storm. You have to attract people to your stand in any way you can and our £50 prize draw certainly hit the button as our bowl became filled with lots of those all-important business cards. The following Tuesday, at Steve’s next 4Networking meeting in Wetherby, the prize draw was made in front of the room and Marc Order of Graphic Aspects Ltd was drawn out of the hat. Marc’s wife is now the happy recipient of a £50 Sainsbury gift card.

The variety of attendees was vast – we had everything from graphic designers to financial services, photographers to stationers, mobile cocktail makers to printers. We even had an F1 simulator (Steve was gutted because he was so busy all day, he didn’t get a chance to have a go in the F1 car!)

At the end of the day, we were absolutely cream crackered, as the bar bill shows!!! Still, we made loads of new connections, cemented a lot of existing relationships and found a whole raft of other businesses that we can work with in the future. All in all a fantastic event – looking forward to next year now #TBNS2016

Data Bubble “On Tour” – The Second Leg

The 30th of September saw us move closer to home for the second leg of our World Tour when we attended The National Coal Mining Museum for its inaugural “Mini-Expo”. Around 30 businesses were present for the 4-hour event, promoted by Simply Networking.

Whilst the day was a different kind of atmosphere than the raucous nature of Wolverhampton Racecourse, it was equally busy. We estimate that we spoke to well over 100 people on our stand and again, we made some fantastic acquaintances and cemented relationships further too.

The attendees this time included some colourful characters from the museum itself – all dressed up in their mining overalls and helmets, they provided some light-hearted entertainment for attendees and exhibitors alike.

All in all, this again proved to be a great success and we’re looking forward to next year’s event.

What’s hot? A focus on the White Collar Workers Database

Are you looking to target typically white-collar industries? Well, now you can!

The White Collar Workers Database includes contacts within industries such as finance, estate agents, retail, IT and typically office-based industries. It comes with senior decision-makers such as MDs, Owner/proprietors, senior partners, FDs and other “Board level” contacts.

The data is cleaned on an annual basis and comes with our usual quality guarantees (we will replace any postal returns, dead telephone lines and hard bounce emails). There are a number of variables to select from, including:

  • Industry type
  • Geography (from counties, down to postcode level and even radius of any given UK postcode)
  • No of employees
  • Turnover
  • Head office / Single site / branch
  • Contact channel (mail, telephone, email)

All data comes with the business name and address, the name and position of the contact in question, plus the contact’s personal email if required. Other fields include turnover and number of employees, plus a website where available.

All data is fully opted in for third party marketing and screened against the Telephone Preference Service, ensuring you remain compliant. It is priced at either 20p + VAT or 23p + VAT per record (depending on the fields required) and subject to a minimum order of 1,000 records. Contact us for more information and a free, no-obligation count.

And finally…

Being mad keen on customer service ourselves, this month has seen us have our socks knocked off by the outstanding customer service of three companies. We would like to give those companies a big THANK YOU. They are:

O2 – Specifically Georgia at the Junction 32 store in Castleford and Charlie at the store in Poole. Georgia was superb in helping me with my new phone purchase, and it even came about from a cold call on her part! Living proof that cold calling does indeed work! Charlie was exceptional in assisting me whilst on holiday “Darn scarf”. Cheers guys.

Premier Inn, Wolverhampton – All the staff were superb in welcoming us and looking after us during our stay whilst we attended The Business Networking Show. The room itself was very comfortable, with hot showers and a super-fast broadband connection. Thanks for looking after us – we will be back!

After a successful trial period, we’re proud to say that we now have our own secure server for file transfers. This means that we will remain well ahead of the game with regard to compliance and data protection and you, our clients, will benefit from super-secure and simple-to-use file transfers. The guys at Doqex have been great in helping us achieve what we have been striving for months.

Feedback, please…We welcome all feedback, good or bad, whether it relates to data supplied, our newsletters or another contact, us individually or as a company. Seriously, the only way we can ever hope to get better is through client feedback, so please keep it coming.
