Happy September everybody! Well, its return to school for many kids this week, giving mums, dads and grandparents a well earned rest. And I donβt wish to upset anybody with what I fear may be construed as being premature mention of a certain red-cloaked and white-bearded individual, but spoiler alert β there is mention of Christmas this monthβ¦SORRY!!!!! (but itβs for a good reason)

Ice Bucket Challenge Overload
Well, what can I say. Itβs the latest Facebook craze that has taken the UK by stormβ¦β¦butβ¦β¦.
Heβs been nominated by his brother Ian, but has so far not taken the challenge. Call him grumpy, call him tight, (βcall him anything you want to babyββ¦breaks into 80βs Wham song modeβ¦) but as yet no amount of cajoling will bring Steve into standing under the bucket of icy water. Iβm thinking that we may have to resort to some underhand tactics. Any ideas anybody???
Whatβs that you ask??? Me??? Have I taken the challenge??? ahemβ¦
Christmas is coming
I know that many of us are still in holiday mode, but for many companies, Christmas is amongst the biggest times of the year.
If you want to maximise your festive revenue, it takes a lot of planning to get it right. That planning, if it hasnβt already, starts right now.
Weβre only too familiar with the effort that goes into this particular time of year, and Iβm not just talking about trimming up the motor home! So, if you need some tips and ideas on how to make sure your business profits from the festive season, why not get in touch or visit our website for some ideas.
Cycling is Back!!!
After the disappointment of losing many of the top riders to crashes in the Tour de France, many (having recovered) are currently involved in the Spanish equivalent βLa Vueltaβ. Chris Froome and Alberto Contador, both regarded as amongst the top 3 favourites to win βLe Tourβ, are currently sat in the top 5 of the race, with one week down and two to go.
All I can say is that I hope they have better luck in Spain than they did in France / Yorkshire. Having fallen from a bike at speed ourselves, several times, both Steve and I can vouch for the pain. Fingers crossed they all arrive safely in Santiago on 14 September.
A couple of special mentions too β Firstly, after winning the Giro dβIalia in May, Nairo Quintana (currently sat 2nd as I type this) is also taking part. To compete in two grand tours in one season is immense, but to actually challenge for victory is Herculean! Good luck Nairo and stay safe!
Second mention is of the Tour of Britain, which starts on 7th September in Liverpool. Liverpool is as close as it gets to us and unfortunately, plans are such that we wonβt be able to get across to see it ourselves. Nevertheless Iβm sure it will prove to be a great event as it continues to grow in status year on year. Fans should note that this race will be ridden by Mark Cavendish, who continues his rehabilitation following the last gasp crash in Harrogate as he raced for the line on Stage 1 of Le Tour. If you can, Iβd recommend a trip to Merseyside (or any of the other stages) for what promises to be another great British cycling event!
And finallyβ¦Here comes the sun???
After a blisteringly hot July, hasnβt August been a complete washout! Two trips away in the motor home hasnβt managed to bring that July heat back and weβve even had the heating on! Whatβs going on? Please come back sun β Indian summer works for me ?
I know I said that after some cracking weather in Devon, I didnβt mind if that was all we saw of summer, but come on β WEATHER GODS I WAS JOKING!!! OK, blame me everyone β sorry!!
Feedback pleaseβ¦We welcome all feedback, good or bad, whether it relates to data supplied, our newsletters or other contact, us individually or as a company. Seriously, the only way we can ever hope to get better is through client feedback, so please keep it coming.
